“Fly Boys Fly” explores the ephemerality of memory through process and subject matter. The differing levels of representational clarity in the rendering of the WWII pilots and the obscure word puzzle suggest a dialectic of memory as alternately vivid and faded, the past returning to us and slipping away all at once. The fragility and resilience of the human condition inform the work of Montreal-based artist, Theresa Passarello particularly themes of impermanence, longing and memory. An emerging artist, Passarello has degrees in Studio Arts and Civil Engineering and has been in many group shows including last month's Truly Yours at Galerie Les Territoires.
